Our Story
Established in 2010 by Smt. Primalatha Niranjan in Harrow, London, Sivasakthi Kshetraa is a renowned Bharathanatyam institution. Smt. Primalatha Niranjan began her dance journey at the age of 5 under Smt. Suriyalini Veerasingam and later graduated in the Kalakshetra style under Guru Smt. Shanthini Sivanesan. With an Arangetram in 2003, she continued to excel, earning a degree in Bharathanatyam from the University of Jaffna and various teaching accolades.
Under the mentorship of esteemed artists like Sir Karaikudi R. Krishnamoorthy (Nattuvangam) and Mr. and Mrs. Haripadman, Mr. Santhosh Menon and Ms.Annie Primine (Precisions and intricate details involving the art) Smt. Primalatha Niranjan honed her skills. Her dedication earned her the "Professional Excellence Award" at the Global Awards in 2019 for her contribution to Bharathanatyam in the UK.
As the founder of Sivasakthi Kshetraa, she has trained numerous students, many of whom have achieved Diplomas and Post Diplomas. Smt. Primalatha Niranjan's commitment extends beyond teaching, as she actively participates in charity competitions and has choreographed elaborate dance dramas. Her passion and dedication have transformed Sivasakthi Kshetraa into a respected institution, evident in the exceptional Arangetrams of seven students in the past five years.
